Keep away from all corrosive substances. If the hearing aid is not used for a long period of time, remove the batteries so that they do not leak and damage the hearing aid.
It is best to stay away from places with a lot of oil to avoid hearing aid malfunctions. Also, oil is difficult to remove and it is not acceptable if organic solvents are used to clean the hearing aid.
